Mark Twain once said, “Good exercise for the heart: reach out and help your neighbor.” One thoughtful man in Woodcreek Neighborhood in Fayetteville should have a very healthy heart from “reaching out” in the midst of social distancing. This intentional gentleman led, encouraged, and influenced not only his neighborhood to join forces to support the Real Life Center, but reached out to Whitewater Creek and The Preserve neighborhoods as well. The result? Drum rolll…..Woodcreek neighbors donated a collective $5400! Along with Whitewater Creek and The Preserve, they amassed $6425. This equates to over 200 families they are helping with food through our modified drive-thru Food Pantry. We are so inspired by these amazing neighbors and their generosity and by the heart of one man who took it upon himself to make a difference!
